The best way to garden is to put on a wide-brimmed straw hat and some old clothes. And with a hoe in one hand and a cold drink in the other, tell somebody else where to dig.

Cotton Wreaths

When we start selling vegetables we will also be selling hand made cotton wreaths that are full of southern charm! They will look similar to the picture up top. But I want a big satin ribbon on the ones I make!

Newest Pictures!

They are still small right now! But that tree is LOADED with apples! Johnny Appleseed sure planted a good one!

Baby tomatoes

Look how tall the tomato plants are! I'm very tall and the plants come up past my waist! Ryan calls them "tomato trees"

That's some big squash!

Walkin' in High Cotton

I guess I should spill the 'beans' that this isn't the Hardiman man himself, it's his computer savvy fiancée, Callie! I figured I'd take the backseat today as he works in the garden.
The e-mail system I was using wasn't enough fun! Blogging sounds so much better than a plain boring e-mail! So this is what I will be using for now on to send out updates on the garden.
Not only will this garden give me numerous dishes of fried squash, fried potatoes, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, it also has given me so much quality time with my fiancée and a sense of accomplishment. Did I mention fried okra?

Garden ingredients:
Early girl tomatoes
Pink tomatoes (Don't rule them out until you try one...great for canning)
Beans
Jalapeno's
Squash
Bell pepper
Okra
Better boy tomatoes
Sweet corn
Watermelon
Cotton
Sweet banana peppers
